Private Home - East Preston

Located in the heart of East Preston, this project seeks to completely renovate this house, add a single storey rear extension and a two storey side extension facing the main road to accommodate a new master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. At ground floor, a large rear extension will create a new contemporary living for our clients with an open plan kitchen / dining / living as well as a separate snug room and second living room. At Fresh Architects, we’re excited to visit this recently completed project in East Preston, where we’ve reimagined a traditional home into a stylish, modern retreat. This transformation involved a full-scale renovation that included extending the property to create more spacious and versatile living areas.

Our design approach focused on bringing in more natural light and improving the flow between rooms. We introduced expansive windows and sliding doors, which open up the interior to the garden and create a seamless transition between the inside and outside. The extended space now features an airy, open-plan kitchen and living area, perfect for both family life and entertaining guests.

The removal of the side garage and replacement with a two storey extension was another key aspect of the project, adding a sophisticated new master suite that offers privacy and comfort. We carefully selected materials that respect the original structure while introducing a fresh, contemporary aesthetic.
